Hot Sauce in Stakehouse Den is a resource you generate by staking—not just cards, but also script. According to the whitepaper, Hot Sauce is a yield mechanic: the more and the better your staked assets, the more Hot Sauce you earn over time.
This is a clever incentive: loyalty to the system (staking) is rewarded, and punishing inactivity isn’t necessary. But of course, not all assets are created equal in this calculus.
How Hot Sauce Generation Works
Here’s where the “expert in the weeds” side of me gets excited:
Two scripts per card: For every card you stake, you must stake 2 scripts alongside it to enable Hot Sauce generation—regardless of the card’s level.
Generation = Merge Count × Generation Factor: Your Hot Sauce yield is the product of how many “merges” the card has and its generation factor (which is tied to rarity, foil status, and level).
Higher-level, rarer, gold-foil = more Hot Sauce: The whitepaper provides matrices showing how cards in different rarity tiers and foil statuses ascend in yield. For example, a Legendary card at a high level or in gold foil yields significantly more than a Common in standard foil.
