Zebra - Animal Series

Hi all!

Today, I continue the quest and exploration animals from the Wildlife. Today's animal series entails the drawing of a Zebra.

Zebras are African equines with distinctive black-and-white striped coats. With their unique black and white coats, merely seeing them from afar will indicate they are the ones. Each zebra has its own pattern which is different from another. The Grévy's zebra, plains zebra, and the mountain zebra are the 3 reknown extant species left.

Do you know that zebras share the genus Equus with horses and asses, the three groups being the only living members of the family Equidae. They are usually found in savannas and grasslands where they feed on grasses which is their major source of food.

The drawing was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. My steps are below:

Thank you.

Beautiful drawing! Thanks for the information. No wonder they have some similarities to horses in terms of shape.

Yeah, and donkeys as well. But I still wonder why zebras can't be domesticated.

Very nice drawing! I knew that they were related to horses and asses because of the zebroids.

Wow, you did this with a pen?

Yeah, with pen.
