IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED.

The king's view

I have been following the drama and all I can say is that things are going to take a u-turn moving forward and in the worst possible way. We have gone past the point of recovery. The damage is done. There are just too many strong arms involved.

FUD...

There is a saying in my native language that when two elephants fight, the ground suffers. The ground represents the ordinary people. I have seen this show of power countless timeless both off and on chain and it never ends well (for any of the parties included).

Unfortunately, everyone who has had dreams and expectations about the community anything will have to think twice at this point. I saw this coming and it came faster than I expected.

I always talk about catering for the now because the future is capricious. I find solace in the fact that I had a balanced approach with my goals (long and short term). If this whole house comes crashing down I leave with my head high.

History always has a way of repeating itself. Everything, in the end, is fleeting. I know I am not speaking directly but I am sure you will get to understand in a couple of days.

LESSON: ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF FIRST.

These were the exact words of my cousin the last time we spoke and those words resonated with me. In retrospect, I probably should be in a better position than I am today if I was a little selfish. It is the price you pay for love and the higher calling.

Being selfish does have its perks. If anything, it makes you immune to a sham called 'trust'. People trust governments that abuse them; people trust systems that fail; people trust things that they barely understand. It is a fundamental human flaw.

If there is anything I have learnt during my time within this sphere, it is ownership. Owning not just your money and data but always your narrative.

PLAY THE GAME

It's a game in the end, so learn to play. Be strategic, put your ears on the ground. Never be caught off-guard. You snooze, you lose.

KNOW YOUR PLACE

Sometimes you don't make the rules of the game. Most times you're a pawn in someone's game. It is not a bad position IF YOU KNOW. Control is merely just an illusion. You don't need to be in a position of power. A proper understanding of the power dynamics will suffice.

Self-preservation...

Sort:

Today, going round the platform and seeing things made me scared

I found out all of us are being watched, and all our comments are under some microscopic eyes

It gave me goosebumps, but I had to muster up the courage to stay up till now, leaving a word or two not minding who will search it up one day for judgments

I don't know about being selfish, all i know is if all of us were, then, may be, the world would not have been conducive for all of us

However, it is true that when the bigger folks are fighting, the tiny ones suffers

But as you said, control is merely an illusion

You will like the place better after the fork.
If you want input on the people watching you, this is where you can do that.

Abuse fighting here is a community initiative.
It is a side effect of paying you real money.

You will like the place better after the fork.

If it is for the positive influence then let it go on.

If you want input on the people watching you, this is where you can do that.

I'll peep in, and see what I can learn. Thanks

Oh, I completely understand. Thanks for explaining, sir

Selfishness is the last resort for those caught in a game where the rules keeping changing and everyone are not held to the same standard. It is the recipe for chaos. I risk being called an alarmist but chaos seems eminent

I totally agree with you

You said in earlier posts that drama is nocive, but you are talking a lot about drama nowadays, and doing some too...
I understand, you are free, and you keep some people updated, but when drama is all that keep in focus, and worst, few people talk about real ways to get away from drama, I think things will not get better.

Maybe we have to think what are our part in this scenary... we are the people who bring water and clean the ground around the fire? We are the people puting more wood, gasoline in the fire but making other people think that we are helping? We are the people that just watch? Or we are the people who let the people interested in make things better do their work without getting in the middle?

In my country there is a say that goes something like this: "It helps a lot who doesn't get in the way"...

Wich one are we?

I think you are indeed right. I am adding gasoline to the fire, and this is the last time i am writing about this subject--i think i have gotten my point across. My intention was to keep people in the loop. About 30mins before this post, i had no intention of writing it. I just had a "i told you so moment" and decided to lash out. I am to take my advise and take the day off...away from all that's happening.

It's ok to express ourselves, sometimes I do things like these, but this can harm us when we don't let some subjects go, be with people thinking that we are obsessed or be with us focusing only in one thing and limiting ourselves, well, I hope you can do what you like and want.

It is not over. Not close. Whales gonna whale, power hungers for more. The community, the content, all of this was real. That need not stop. Also... st**m dying was a blessing in the end.

Posted via proofofbrain.io

I honest hope i am over exaggerating. This is the last i will speak on this issue.

Trust, everyone talks about trust but always be mindful of that person that wants you to trust them without earning it. It's just a strategy used to play good cop but when the story develops, the good cop suddenly becomes bad.

Who suffers?
Anyone that allows himself to be used as pawn will suffer the blow.

You've encoded alot in this post and it will be understood by many in a way that appeals to them. I've also been getting whispers about this "something new" and l've always been reserving my comment.

I'm not against any sort of advancement or evolution. All l know is that being informed prior to it's occurrence should be used to our advantage. Better to flow with the tide than to hold your ground. A stampede may be the repercussion.

Dammit! I just whined without hitting the nail on the head. Guess we all have to look forward to some big news or so. That's if it's still a news

Things will fundamentally change in the coming months. I have read about some of these changes. the goal is to always adapt to changing circumstances. That is how we as a special are able to survive this long.

2nd layer. You can't build a strong 2nd layer on a weak foundation.

The same issues are always passed on.

2 wrongs, 2 rights, and the escalation is unnecessary but ultimately going to happen once or twice in every place.

Likely it will blow over.

I do agree while being kind to others people should absolutely put themselves first.

My mood right now:

This happens every single time...it is exhausting and honestly, I don't want to be part of it. All I can do is warn those who do not know and go about my business.

Thanks for inspiring me to write about chess. We are in the same ship and the best way is to learn from chess. I'm interested by the way, do you play it yourself ? ☺

Occasionally. Not as good as i once was

I think it doesn't matter that much if you are good at it or not. The most important that you know the rules and you know how chess is similar to real life and everything we do.

The fight for power and control has become alarming. We should think of ourselves more often, and make ourselves a priority because in these modern days nobody gives a damn about you

well said...

I just read a post from clixmoney about chess. I guess this is where he got the inspiration from.
By the way, the truth is, if we all dance to every tune that plays, then it means we don't even have a mind of our own.

The art of warfare isn't always direct and brutal. Like I said, control is merely an illusion. You never see or hear about those with real power. Most times the pawn is the most powerful piece on the board.

What's the drama? I've not been on much the last couple of months.

Oh pob community and some investors have been a go at each other for about a week now. I think the drama is ongoing...we love drama on the hive blockchain.

Ah, ok. I had noticed that the price of POB had dropped a lot. I just assumed it was going down with the rest of the market. Yep, always drama around here.
