Hi hivers
Hive Blockchain has been great since its birth from the Steem blockchain, attracting many users, and I am one of them. The blockchain has made a huge positive difference and impression than Steem, depicting what true decentralization is.
I was introduced to the hive during this Covid19 lockdown. Though I got my account through @tykee some months ago on Steem, he told me to focus on Hive rather than Steem when Hive came alive. At first, I was discouraged because I never had much experience in blockchain technology. As a result of boredom, I gave it a try. I felt welcome here when I received some encouraging comments in my introduction post.
I started writing and posting more. At first, I wasn’t getting votes, but I persisted and I started seeing positive changes and attractions on my posts.
The Good
Even with just a few weeks on Hive, I can count things I have learned through Hive. Firstly, it reduced my boredom. Most times instead of playing silly games or sleeping. I engage myself in reading interesting posts and also writing some for myself.
My writing skills have also changed due to constant writing and also reading other peoples blogs. Learning never ends, they say. Before now I always see more mistakes in my text’s editor, but as at now, it has reduced. I have learnt to use short sentences, paragraph and so on.
The reward that I have been getting on hive has also been decent. Thanks to exceptional guys here. @bdcommunity @appreciator @ocd @qurator and others that have should me love. I subscribed to different communities like OCD, GEMS, BDcommunity Gitplait, Foodie bee and others, and I have been posting in each one of them. Gems and BD communities have been the one for me because most times I get more support and rewards from them.
Freedom of speech is another reason I love Hive. I remember when my friend’s account was suspended on Facebook for making a post about cryptocurrency. They labelled him as a scam and he had to follow an extensive process to clarify himself.
I am the person who like to express my feelings, so I loved Hive for that. Hive has helped me to develop a strange flair for techie stuff. Most times I scrolled down to read some post and all I see is coding tutorials and dev ethics. So, I gave it a trial, and I started with HTML coding lectures with my uncle and I have been doing well.
Contest and Initiatives parts are very interesting. I have come across some contest sponsored by @theycallmedan and most time these contests help to give self-thoughts in a different aspect. I also participated in his current #mycountry initiative and it was fun because I shared my thoughts
The Bad
No BAD!!!
The Ugly
The only thing that started making me tired recently was when I started getting little values on my post while some posts that are equal or lower in quality are getting more votes and valued. It was like the people turned their back against me, but I kept going. And I am seeing light again after some dark hour. I can’t find many uglies for now, and non-bad. I hope Hive would soar higher.
Thanks. These are my experiences so far on Hive. I would like to explore more and share some experiences.
