I would first like to thank @bdc-shorts for organizing such a beautiful competition.Through this competition we can go back to childhood for a while. The same thing has happened to me.When I think of my childhood, I get very emotional. If only I could go back to my childhood. I still take care of many story books of my school life. I have read a lot of story books but the best and most instructive story book for me is the children's Chayanika. I read this book when I was in third grade.I learned a lot from reading the story in this book. Which has worked for me all my life. This book was first published in 1995.

The book is written and edited by Amit Prasad. There are a total of ten stories in this book. I like each story very much. Today I will share with you some stories from this book. From which I have learned many lessons.

I will summarize the stories below.

Self-reliance is the best help

IMG_20220411_151116-01.jpeg

The name of a village is Pahartali. There was no shortage of people in that village. At one time there was a great shortage in that village. A landless farmer from this village named Bilal and his wife Ranu. There was no rain that year. As a result no crop could be cultivated. At one point it rained a lot. The field were all submerged in the rain. Meanwhile, the meal at Belal's house was over. Belal became very worried. Belal's wife was very intelligent.Ranu told Belal that there are many coconut shells in one corner of the yard with which we make ropes and sell them in the market. The next day the two of them made a rope with them and then sold it in the market. He bought the necessary food and handed over the remaining money to Ranu.In this way he used to collect coconut shells from different places every day and make ropes and sell them in the market. Once he saved some money, he bought a sewing machine. Ranu used to sew clothes with that machine. In this way financial prosperity came back to their family. At one time they became very self-reliant.Seeing their success, other people of the village became interested in work and this village became an ideal village. At present Pahartali is now an ideal and self-reliant village.

We can learn from this story,
Hard work is the key to good luck.If you work hard, success will come there. The lazy person can never succeed.

Three friends

IMG_20220411_123236-01.jpeg

The deer became friends with the crow and the tortoise. One day a hunter came to this forest. He saw deer footprints and set a trap to catch them. The deer got trapped in the hunting trap. Meanwhile, the crow got worried when he saw his friend deer not returning home in the afternoon.Crow went out to look for the deer. After going some distance, he saw a deer trapped in a trap. The crow said, "Friend, don't worry." The crow friend went out in search of the tortoise. After seeing the tortoise, he said that our friend was being caught in a deer hunting net. Then the two of them ran to rescue the deer. The crow brings water with its beak and softens the hunter's rope and softens it. The tortoise bites that soft part with its teeth. Thus the whole night passed. At dawn only a small part of the net was cut. In the morning, when the hunter came near, the deer ran very fast with a half-torn net and quickly entered the forest. The hunter chased after the deer but could not catch it. Meanwhile, the hunter caught the tortoise and put it in the bag. The crow sees everything from the top of the tree. The crow approached the deer and said that our friend had caught the tortoise. You do one thing, pretend to break the leg and see the hunter. Then it will continue. The deer started doing what the crow said. The hunter saw the deer and started running after the deer. The tortoise hung from a small tree. The deer quickly disappeared into the forest. The hunter could no longer find the deer. The deer then returns to the tortoise and lowers the bag with its horns, freeing the tortoise. Then the three friends rejoiced and went to safety. The hunter returned home empty-handed.

The lesson to be learned from the story is that a true friend always helps a friend when he is in danger. If you are in danger, you have to keep your head cool and work wisely.

Wise man and naughty son

IMG_20220411_123326-01.jpeg

He was a rich man, he was very wise. He has a son in school. That boy was very naughty. He used to mix with bad boys. His father was very upset to hear the complaints of the villagers against the boy. There was no way he could bring the boy to the right way. Summer is the fruit season. He often brings home ripe mangoes and the boy eats them. One day he showed his son a rotten mango and told him not to eat this rotten mango. The boy said throw it away now? His father said no. He said to the boy, "You are evil. Can I leave you?" Keep the rotten mango with the good mangoes. He left the mango basket in the cupboard. The next morning he took the mangoes out of the cupboard. He took them to his father and saw that all the mangoes were rotten. Father asked why the mangoes are spoiled? The boy said I don't know. His father said that all the mangoes were ruined by the touch of a rotten mango.Good things become bad when they are accompanied by bad things. He told the boy that the same is true of people. If you mix with bad boys, you will become bad. Is this true? The boy said yes, that's right. His father says I will bring you a lot of mangoes from the market. Then the boy realized his mistake. From that day on he left the company of bad friends and became very focused on his studies.

There are lessons to be learned from this story.Heaven with the righteous is defeated with the wicked. We should always leave bad company. His father explained with many beautiful examples.

Reading these stories has been very useful in my life. The scope of our knowledge has increased a lot. The ten stories in this book are instructive. The pictures I used in this post were taken with my mobile phone because I still have the book. Thanks everybody.
