Night was drawing nigh as fast as the clock ticked. Alicia had just moved into her new apartment and she was all alone.
She lay on her bed as he looked steadfastly at her wall clock, she exhaled loudly. It was her first time living alone and her apartment was separated from others. She had no neighbors and before she could find another house along the same street was like a hundred meters away.
The sky was now completely dark and stars shone brightly gracing the evening. Alicia felt a little comfort, she opened her windows and turned on all the lights in the house. She was scared of the dark. She sat by her window staring at the bright night sky as the cool night breeze blew all over her.
Suddenly something passed by her window. She didn't see it but she felt the heavy breeze it carried. She freezed on the chair she sat and said silent prayers. Goosebumps appeared all over her skin, she couldn't move a foot nor lift a hand she was so scared that she felt if she moved, that'll be the end of her existence and so she decided to stay put.
Again, the same thing flew past her. She knew it was a big bird which had large wings because of the wind it carried when it flew past her. She trembled in her seat as she thought of what kind of bird that could be. It had no specific color and flew past her with speed.
When she couldn't take it anymore, she jumped off her seat and reached out to close her windows then there was a power outage. Alicia didn't realize when she started crying that she couldn't close the windows anymore because her only source of light was the stars in the sky.
Her eyes swept through the nearby bushes when she saw one of the leaves shaking. The big bird had decided to settle on something. It had a black and white stripe on its body and something in its mouth. She looked further and saw little birdies chirping to get what it had in its mouth, then she knew it was a night bird who had gone out to find food for its young ones.
She forgot about her fears as she watched the bird and it's young ones in awe. Suddenly sleep came to her eyes and she staggered to her bed and dropped down on it throwing her legs to different angles and slept soundly.
The sun was up and shone into Alicia's room so brightly there had been a power restoration and everywhere was lit. Alicia opened her eyes and the first thing that caught her attention was her striped night bird that sat on her window staring at her.
She sat up and smiled. She felt awesome and promised the bird to get it something to eat when she returned from work but now she had to turn off all lights. Her new environment was gonna be awesome.

Nice one
Thanks 😘
