The Great Stone

The great stone,
A with-holder of ancient knowledge,
A show of time past,
Of history forgotten.

....
....

From the time of the dinosaurs,
To the time of the creation of man made laws,
Even to the time of a man killed on a cross,
And even to our time of seemingly invisible glass doors.

....
....

It has remained,
A silent witness of mankind's horrors,
With lips sealed,
And a tongue lost,
One can only imagine the secrets it has kept shut.

....
....

Death to it, is of no essence,
A true immortal in it's own rights,
Crushed or shattered,
It would still stay a great stone.
