School Is Scam!
Hey people!
I am sure we are very familiar with the above sentence, especially in my country.
We have folks telling us that school is a scam and that most people who put in all their effort in school are wasting their time.
Well, the truth is they have their reasons for saying that. And mind you, this isn't only coming from non-graduates or people who are schooling but both parties.
Those who have gone to school and are done with their studies, those who are still in the system, and even those who have not branched the four walls of a school. All of them have their individual opinions for saying that school is a scam.
The truth is that I don't have any idea why they say so but I believe one of the very reasons is because of how poor and corrupt our country is.
Imagine laboring in your field of studies between 4-7 years and coming out at the end of all the sacrifices, there are no lucrative jobs to take up immediately after you are done with the papers. Some even go as far as furthering their education like master's degrees and doctorate degrees. Good enough for these two degrees, one stands a chance of working overseas or traveling out of the country if they so wish.
But for those who aren't as fortunate as others, they are either left with their Bachelor's degree or stuck in their respective country like mine.
It's not a new thing that Nigeria's system of economy is very poor, likewise educational sectors and more.
The general slogan that goes around here or beliefs that goes around here is that students or graduates will still end up being taxi and tricycle riders at the end of everything and the years spent studying a particular course.
The number of graduates who are out there on the streets with their good certificates lying somewhere in their houses is quite alarming.
Some of them just had to pick up something and not wait on the poor system of government to offer them jobs that they may not see or be employed even at the end of running shelter skelter for interviews and all.
It's so sad that graduates are believed to someday become tricycle and taxi drivers after completing their studies.
Now tell me how a sensed person wouldn't tag school as being a scam in such a situation?
This is because there are no jobs after spending years in a building that is supposed to provide one the basic tools and training for what they should do or become after school or their years of studies.
Why spend such amount of years in a confined place if after at the end of it all, all you do is put the certificate somewhere in your box or bag and storm the street in search of jobs or something to make ends meet?
No! It shouldn't be so. Work and jobs should be looking for workers, for people to take up strategic positions in government, offices, companies, schools, and more and not the other way round.
School Is Scam?
This should have come as a question earlier but I just wanted to air a point first before going into this.
Mind you, I am not siding the crowd that school is a scam. That's their belief, not mine.
I can't say what is a scam or what is not, except for most crypto projects without a future lol, that can be called a scam or airdrop that is only meant to deceive people. But never school, I don't and won't say school is scam.
When you believe or think school is a scam is because you placed all your hopes in school, you thought your sustainability or income will come from the papers or certificates you go in there to acquire. But that's not really the case and in this Era? Sorry to say, that's a big lie, or maybe your wildest dream.
If you think that your only source of income and sustainability will or should come from the certificates you acquired in school then I feel sorry for you.
The right tools might have been given to you in the four walls of school but it is never a guarantee that they have ready-made jobs lying around for you when you are done and come out even as the best.
Speaking of corruption, it is the order of the day so even if there might have been jobs lying and waiting for you, others may likely buy those positions, and chances with their money. So one way or the other, you will lose just by putting all your hopes into school and the papers you went to acquire.

Me for one, I don't believe school is scam. I believe school is very important for everyone to key into because it gives us the opportunity to learn from different people, places and even the way others view things.
And for me this is what really help us after we finish from our various studies in our various Field of learning.
Never go into school with the mind set of working in an already established organization, go with the mind of setting up your own once you are through and you will see that, the mindset of school is scam will gradually be eradicated from your mind.

There! I stated my opinion above. I have never and will never say school is scam.

School is not a scam. School is a necessity for every person. It brings about exposure, maturity and widens your knowledge on many subject matters.
