Phew, time flies. We have now gotten back to KL after a blissful time with the family celebrating the Chinese New Year. CNY lasts 15 days and today is already the 7th day, it is also known as the Humans Day (δΊΊζ₯), so today is everybody's birthday! Still, can't have our holidays forever so...
Back to adulting. Hahaha!
2.2.2022 happened to be the second day of Chinese New Year, but it's also a special day because you don't get to have such beautiful numerical dates sequenced like this everyday.
As we were back to my husband's hometown, we've decided to celebrate reunion and also our second born's 4th birthday together. His actual birth date falls on the 5th but we took the opportunity to celebrate it earlier with family. Celebrations are a big thing in our family, we celebrate birthdays and festivities because we love life and we treasure our family time together. It's always something that we look forward to. Hence what better time to celebrate a birthday when everyone is around, right? :)
The birthday boy is turning 4 π
My husband's cousins and aunts love barbecue, so that night they organised a Chinese New Year barbecue and birthday celebration! Everyone was required to wear a red shirt that night, and so I have ordered a set of family shirts to welcome the roaring year! It's a Tigger printed shirt, isn't it nice? I absolutely love it!
Look at the yummy spread of food and barbecue for the night, they even made red eggs for the birthday boy!

Grandma made some porridge for the littlest so that he will not miss out on dinner too, bringing his little seat was the best decision ever! π
Mid way eating, fireworks started to appear and forgive me as my phone couldn't do justice to the beautiful patterns, everyone watched as though they also celebrated together with us!

Pork chops were juicy and succulent! Not in the photo, mutton satay were divine!
Cousin even made creme brulee, it was sooo good!!
Soon, it was time to blow the candles, you could see the look on the little boy's face lit up brighter than the fireworks π He was the happiest boy on Earth that night. Before blowing the candles, he even danced to the birthday song, everyone cheered as he danced to his heart's content! β€οΈ
My parents in law later came by and joined us after dinner β€οΈ

We enjoyed the night, so grateful for family.
