Hello, Feel Good community! October has finally arrived, and with it a new semester of activities at the University. It will be a lighter semester than the previous one since I only have to coordinate one elective, so there will be few students, and thank goodness, it will only be theoretical. While the students were registering for the system, I was invited to an awards ceremony for professors for their years of service, and it turns out my tutor had been honored, so I attended the solemn ceremony in the Aula Magna.
For all Ucevistas, whether you are a student, employee, worker, or, in my case, a professor, attending the Aula Magna is an experience that touches our deepest feelings as a university community. It means the culmination of a career of effort for the undergraduate and graduate students, and also for us as professors when we are recognized for our teaching and research. Inside this great hall is one of the most exceptional artistic structures that I wanted to share with you for this Phone Photography #81 contest: Calder's Clouds.
Multiple photographs have been taken of these wonderful pieces of art, and even poems have been dedicated to them, but there's nothing like being there and contemplating these marvelous clouds suspended in the Aula Magna of the UCV. Initially conceived as acoustic panels to improve sound distribution, the artist Alexander Calder saw it as an opportunity to create a unique artistic addition to this architectural work, and boy did he succeed: 22 panels suspended by reinforced beams, as if they were mobile, give the impression of clouds above the seats of the Aula Magna. The feeling of being there and being able to experience the magnitude of this work is simply overwhelming, especially when you're about to receive your professional degree or receive recognition for your years of service. In short, I'm starting the semester feeling good, among Calder's Clouds.
Well, friends, this was my entry in today's contest, optimistic as always in this last quarter of the year. Just like those Calder clouds that radiate not only harmony but also good vibes. Hola comunidad de Feel Good! Finalmente ha llegado Octubre y con el un nuevo semestre de actividades en la Universidad, será un semestre más ligero que el anterior ya que solo me corresponde coordinar una materia electiva por lo que serán pocos estudiantes y gracias a dios, sólo será teórica. Mientras los chicos estaban inscribiéndose en el sistema fui invitado a un acto de premiación a profesores por años de antigüedad y resulta que mi tutora fue galardonada con este reconocimiento así que asistí al solemne lugar donde se llevaría el acto en el Aula Magna.
Para todo Ucevista, ya seas estudiante, empleado, obrero o en mi caso profesor asistir al Aula Magna es una experiencia que toca nuestro sentir más profundo como comunidad universitaria, significa la culminación de una carrera de esfuerzos para los estudiantes de pregrado/postgrado y también para nosotros como profesores cuando somos reconocidos por nuestra labor docente y de investigación. En el interior de esta magna sala se encuentra una de las estructuras artísticas más excepcionales y que he querido compartir con ustedes para este concurso de Phone Photography #81: Las Nubes de Calder.
Múltiples fotografía se han tomado de estas maravillosas piezas artísticas, incluso hasta poemas le han dedicado, pero no hay nada como estar allí presente y contemplar estas maravillosas nubes suspendidas en el Aula Magna de la UCV. Pensadas inicialmente como paneles acústicos para mejorar la distribución del sonido, el artista Alexander Calder lo vio como una oportunidad de crear un añadido artístico único para esta obra arquitectónica y vaya que lo logró, 22 paneles suspendidos por vigas reforzadas como si fueran móviles dan la impresión de una nubes sobre los asientos del Aula Magna. La sensación de estar alli y poder disfrutar de la magnitud de esta obra es simplemente sobrecogedora, sobre todo cuando vas a recibir tu título de profesional o vas a recibir un reconocimiento por tus años de servicio. En definitiva comienzo el semestre sintiéndome bien, entre las Nubes de Calder.
Bien amigos esta fue mi participación en el concurso del día de hoy, optimista como siempre en este último trimestre del años, tal como esas nubes de Calder que irradian no solo armonía sino también buenas vibras, lo supe desde el 1er momento que volví a ver esas nubes, vamos a terminar con grandes logros este 2025.
