in Feel Good3 years ago

Welcome to the 76th Edition of the PhotoChain Challenge brought to you by @davidesimoncini. The mechanics for the contest can be found in this link click here. Do read about it and come and join in the fun.

Last week's winners and their Keywords are:

PAINTING by @nelinoeva

and

REPTILE by @ninahaskin

Last year my wife and I went shopping for floor tiles and we visited a big warehouse depot which had a huge selection of practically any kind of tiles one can think of. As she was looking around for something she might fancy I wandered about in the other sections of the depot and found some really interesting stuff. And one of these just fits the Keywords for this week.

These are metal decorative figures of a reptile known as gecko. It is a nocturnal and often highly vocal lizard which has adhesive pads on the feet to assist in climbing on smooth surfaces. It is widespread in warm regions. Geckos represent good luck and fortune coming into your home and into your life. Also, they are actually thought to be guardians of the home. They represent rebirth and life cycles, the circling of energy. Because of their regenerative powers they also symbolize eternal hope for rebuilding our own lives. They can grow back their own limbs!

In the two photos above, please note the paintings of small black lizards on the bodies of these geckos.

The photos below show other gecko figures with different painted colors and designs on their bodies and tails.

My personal Keyword is METAL.

PAINTING / REPTILE / METAL

And that's it for me for this edition. Best of luck to all the other participants. Meanwhile, keep safe everyone and may you all have a blessed Sunday.

Great find!
I love geckos without knowing that they bring good fortune to your home. I remember visiting my son in Thailand and the numerous geckos I saw there.

Thanks. The live ones here cost a fortune. So many people, especially Chinese, seek them for their good luck charm.

Thailand is such a nice country. I've been there 3 or 4 times in the past and all I have are good memories of the place. Your son must really be enjoying himself over there.

Good, happy seeing you again gems. Thank you to join in, welcome to the edition :) !LUV 1
