That's a lovely selection of V words, @Lizelle, and as always there is at least a little bit of delicious looking food for me 😊

My brother has had an orange VW Beetle (German: VW Käfer) and sometimes the battery, which was under the back seat, set the seat on fire, but all in all it was a nice and handy car. I think more than once he couldn't keep the car on the road for some reason which I don't want to tell here 🍻 and the Beetle overturned once or twice. And if it laid on the roof he just pushed it onto the wheels and drove on 🤣

That's why I have an aversion to Beetles: I was thrown out of one at 21. A three week stint in hospital with rather nasty injuries will do that to one. 😀

Oh yes, I can understand this. I have never had an accident where I got injured, but I have friends and family who have been in hospital after accidents. That's always a pain and to even get thrown out of a car must be horrifying and unforgettable I believe.

Unforgettable. Indeed. And it was 36 years ago. Certain smells just bring it all back. Motor vehicles are not toys. They must be treated with great respect.

There are some things you'll never forget, that's true.

I agree, motor vehicles should be treated with respect, because they can be dangerous "weapons" for yourself and for others, but they should also make fun, because otherwise I wouldn't have ridden to work on my motorbike at 5:30 this morning at 2 degrees Celsius 😉
