There is just so much marrow in a flat of shank, and I recall in our dinner table, my Mom would make sure that my siblings and I would get a piece each. That made it special! Extra special too were the times when my Dad and played music together- me in the ukelele, and him on the mandolin! O a, so glad to be able to share with you, my sweet sis!
