Hi everyone!
I was talking with some of the @psyberx guys and we'd like to expand our small writing group by bringing in some new voices to our lore team.

Rather than going around privately and asking people, I thought it would be better to give everyone a prompt to write us a story. What's better than a writing competition with an opportunity to work in a cool environment? LVL of course and @dynamicrypto has put some up for grabs.

The winner of the competition will receive 1,000 LVL Tokens and a Psyber Crate, each crate has 5 NFT's which will be used across the games that Royal Reptile Studios are producing, so this is a great chance for anyone new to the project, to get kickstarted, prior to Psyber X's release.

The Genre
Psyber X is set in a Sci-fi, Dystopian world, that has all the hallmarks of the Cyberpunk genre.

Zeelis is a nation-spanning mega-city, filled with gangs and factions, from the lowly street thug to the thugs on the top floor, who really know how to commit crimes.

Noxious Purple and Green mist fill the streets, meaning that the closer to the ground level you are, the more protective gear you need to survive outdoors. Without protective gear, you'll surely need medical attention from your nearest Ripper-Doc, who for the right price will replace your organs with Cybernetic enhancements. In some cases, these enhancements are a necessity and in some cases, the body modifications are a status symbol. But, everything in this world has a price, the price for flaunting your wealth means that someone is eyeing you up as an easy mark. Don't take it personally though, it's just Biz.

How We Operate
Like an improv routine. Each of us writes for a character or two, with each chapter the story continues from different perspectives, and before publishing, we help to edit each other's work and try to think a few chapters ahead, so we don't write ourselves into a dead-end. I think it's been a great experience working like this and we're happy to bring in more voices who are eager to create.

We also create Lore, from weapons and armour, ships and modes of transport, characters, slang, gangs, factions, and businesses, each piece of lore we create is incorporated into each other's stories, to grow this world and expand this I.P.

Your Prompt
I wrote this chapter yesterday, which is separate from the main story we're writing, but, it is no less important in expanding the world of Psyber X.

Recap
Jessup is visited by his friend Faller, who has been shot by the ZPD (Zeelis Police Department) after they raided a deal he was doing with some Snatchers (People Who Harvest Their Victims Psybernetics) Faller got away, but, Jessup knows the penalty for dealing in harvested equipment and is afraid that his friend has lead trouble back to his house. Their conversation is cut short as there is banging at the door.

Jessup is hoping that it is his roommate, who works as a Dolly (Sex Worker) the two of them are left staring at the door as it is knocking, guns drawn and a bag of boosted bloodstained gear on the kitchen table.

The entrant should write from the perspective of the Dolly character, she is coming back home after a hard day at work, to find her roommate and a stranger with guns drawn and a bunch of boosted tech on her kitchen table.

You can start the chapter from the time they open the door or start a little bit before to get a feel for what she's been up to. She lives on the 3rd level, keep in mind that just because this character isn't on the ground level, doesn't mean things are rosy. There are many streets above you in this world, the closer to the bottom you are, the worse the people are and the more dangerous it is.

Restrictions and Rules
For this exercise, there are no restrictions. I don't want to stifle anyone's creativity, more than I already have. Just make sure if it's NSFW, tag it as such. Also, entries should be between 750 and 1,250 words. But, quality over quantity as they say. If your entry goes over or under, it's okay, so long as it is well-written and well-edited. Small mistakes can always slip through, but, bear in mind, how well you write, is a factor. Also, post your entries into The Psyber X Community. or a community of your choosing and drop a link in the comments section of this post.

Anyone who enters should be in this Discord Server. there is a channel in there called 'Resources-Post-Promo' Drop your piece in there too once you have published it, to keep them organised.

You have 7 days to write your story and enter the competition, a winner will be announced on Friday the 7th of October. So, that should be a nice way to start next weekend.
