Wow this looks like an amazingly fun tool to play with as a DM. I can see how the clunk would get in the way of speedy builds if you're more of a seat of the pants-er. But for people who play around a tv inside a table board this would be could be a lot of fun, I think.
Imagine sitting your group down and saying "alright, you guys bought your first home. It is a small plot of land on the edge of town. Let's put this house together for you." Then give them a list of tiles and some monetary numbers tied to them so they have a certain budget to work with while building their home!
That's a clever use of something like this! As a player and not a DM, that would be a lot of fun!
That's an awesome idea! I might actually have to use that. My group is obsessed with owning houses. Mostly they rent them out to have some passive income. They would be thrilled if they could tailor their own house.
