#JunesJourney2020 - Days 25 & 26: Elven Tree Home & Ironspire Islands

Today's #worldbuilding and #mapmaking challenge for the #JunesJourney2020 was to create an elven tree-home for the 25th and to create some Ironspire Islands for the 26th.

The elven tree home I plopped on the far west of our map, and named it after the very first fiction site I ever wrote for - elfwood (which is now defunct and has been for quite a while).

Elfwood is the only entirely-elven community on the island. Its inhabitants have been tending to the forest here since it was first settled, and the living homes they've fashioned are a testament to their innate druid-like abilities and intuition.

All are welcome in Elfwood, and travelers often will spend weeks soaking up the idyllic forest atmosphere before returning to the bustle of their homes. While rare, there are even some Dragonborn that venture to Elfwood every year from their home in Danomel just to spend several weeks among the amazing scenery.

As for the Ironspire Isles - there's not a lot to say about these small islands. Strange fish-people can be seen sometimes on their rocky shores, but the islands bear little of value for most traders or businessmen. The only really notable thing about the islands is that now and then watchers will spot impressively balanced pillars of stone showing up, where there had not been anything the night before. These pillars seem to come and go at random, and no-one has yet discovered who constructs them, or where they go when they're not visible.
