Long time no see! I haven’t been very active here for a while. Life just got busier, so I haven’t had as much time to come online. Plus, there haven’t been many WOO events lately. But actually, I still pop in from time to time. I already knew ThanksGrappling was coming up, and last year’s Thanksgiving event was much livelier—I wrote so many posts back then. But this time, I only managed to get a few matches in right before the deadline.
It seems like the matchmaking issues everyone complained about before have improved. In the few matches I played, I got paired up pretty quickly. All my opponents were couchcommittee bots, not real players, so it’s clear that the number of active players still isn’t very high. But once the match started, that familiar feeling came right back—I mean, I’ve played hundreds of matches before.
These days, the entire crypto market has taken a huge hit, and you can really feel that people’s enthusiasm for crypto has dropped a lot too. So during times like this, coming back for a few matches to relax a bit actually feels pretty nice.
