The Women’s World Championship game has just ended, it was kinda alright, new champion emerged, but the tournament itself didn’t impress me.
So Becky Lynch won, which is nice because she really wanted to win. But the Battle Royal for the championship wasn’t that much fun. The only bit that caught my eye in this match was when Maxxine threw Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell out of the ring together. It seemed like a revenge on them, and it felt good to watch.
Nia did her usual dominating factor; at one point she almost succeeded in getting rid of Becky when she powerbombed her through the announce table.
However, by the end there were three remaining participants: Nia, Becky and Liv Morgan. Then Becky threw Liv out of the ring after teaming up with her against Nia.
Well, I’m not really into Battle Royals and this one didn’t change anything. Missed opportunity is what it felt like.
I understand why Becky was chosen to be the champion especially with what happened to Rhea. But I wanted somebody new to have a go at it too. Nonetheless, Becky has some interesting potential challengers such as Liv and Nia. My bet is that Liv might be allowed the first shot since she wants revenge.
Yeah, so the match was alright but not awesome. However, I am looking forward to how things will turn out during Becky’s reign as champ. Maybe from here things may become more exciting.
