There are few ways to run your own Witness node.
Previously, I used Hive in a Box service subscription by @privex to run my node remotely.

I currently do not know how this works, but maybe I will think about running a Hive witness in the future, depending on the amount of the rewards I will receive on the Hive blockchain in long term. $30 USD per month is approximately the double of the monthly price of my mobile internet subscription. But if I will get proper amount of rewards (not just/only a few cents) in long term, then this should not be a problem.

Nowadays I am getting a relatively good income with Hive. I earned $439.08 USD with Hive, but this started just/only in the recent past. I earned cents in the past. We will see whether I will earn this (or better or worse) amount in the future in long term.
$30 USD is actually a lot of money for me. My total income in real life is approximately $470 USD per month, while the local minimum wage is approximately $550 USD per month, so nowadays I live under the local minimum wage.
You have a long way, my friend. Keep going!
