This post is an attempt to experiment the idea of combining Microblogging, AskLEO and 3Speak to empower Hive community growth. I appreciate everyone who provided valuable feedback on my recent hive blog post regarding this. Hopefully we can launch a simple growth initiative for Hive with year 2025 vision.

It's my first vlog after a long time and I just talked about my own thinking behind why making money in crypto is more of a common sense and how I'm planning to play this crypto game going forward, given the fact we're still very early with this internet 2.0 revolution.

Crypto of course is the current frontier. If you look at where the great fortunes are made in human history they're always made on the frontier. The normies aren't quite there yet and people haven't figured it out and you know you're in the right place because it's full of brilliant people (and full of scammers). it's full of completely genius ideas as well. - Naval Ravikant

  1. Important to play the long term crypto game with minmum 5 years plan. It's easy to get caught up with FOMO and try to get rich over night.

  2. Finding where your skillset fits in the crypto universe and focus on something that you passionate about is second most important thing. The internet enabling us, no matter how weird or strange we are, to find our tribe. There’s an online community for nearly ANYTHING :)

  3. Continious learning through self education and experiementing.

  4. Controling your fear and greed is massive and developing high emotional inteligence will help massively.

  5. Having fun and making good friends along the journey is far more important than anything else.

These are only my opinions.

I love to hear your answers.
Thank you.

I'm grateful to be part of our crypto, Hive and LeoFinance community. Today is Day number 13 of my personal 365 days of writing challenge.

Common sense, luck and keeping yourself in check. Sure you could APE in on something and get lucky and make 4,000% or you could APE in and lose 4,000% and the chances of you losing then gaining are much higher lol. For me it's about keeping things in check and reality. I go for 60%+ APR or better on a short term trade but anything too high leaves me question it as far to high of a risk. You also need to do heavy research before jumping into any of these.

With these things in check you might not make 4,000% but you most likely will make 60%+ with relatively low risk and that's how wealth is built. Limiting risk while still providing high rewards is your key area.

Heavy research is a must!

Luck and timing are something we have less control over. Having a long-term strategy and the right approach can help us.

You make your own luck if you stay at it long enough

Sweet video my brother, you are right, community is more valuable than money. I wish my Splinterlands guild understood that and invested in our buildings more!

All jokes aside, yes, you are absolutely right, and we owe it to each other to remind ourselves of this fact because greed is always present. We need to bypass this instinct of amassing riches and remember to just have fun together!

Happy to see your comment bro!

You can't put a price tag on good friends and a great community.

I think greed and fear will always going to be there. We can learn to be less greedy and control our emotions.

If you cannot control your emotions, you cannot control your money

I have been into the Crypto game from last 4 years and still I need to play minimum 6 years to be a player. So yes playing long term is what people should focus on.

Almost the same with me 5 years already.

playing long term is what people should focus on.

"Continuous learning through self education and experimenting"

this is the most important lesson i would take from this, as this will teach you in my experience to not put all your eggs in one basket and to divisive your portfolio to minimise your losses and increase your gains

not put all your eggs in one basket

Thanks for sharing your experience. For me personally, I'm more of an entrepreneur than an investor with a founder mentality. Even as an entrepreneur I have to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

We all continue to learn and grow every day and the compounding effects of 1% growth each day can leave us 40X better off in a year.

Controling your fear and greed is massive and developing high emotional inteligence will help massively.

A very nice thing to say. We have to deal with fear and greed. Otherwise, our crypto world will never be good. In the case of such long-term planning, we need to control our fears.

It's tough to always keep your emotions in check sometimes. I try to avoid looking at prices too often because it can make me concerned. Also things over time so you always have to keep doing more research.

I do check Hive price every day but I will have to check less frequently. It can be really healthy :)

I completely agree with this and follow the same. Getting overnight i risky but with long-term mindset, we can become rich while minimizing risk. Nice investment thought bro

Long-term thinking is the key.

Many people are desperately seeking short-term answers because they have money problems to be solved today. Because I have been through money problems and I can understand why it's difficult to think long term.
