From what I can gather it is an oxygenation therapeutic, like Chlorine Dioxide.
I don't know about chlorine dioxide, but MB does something to the mitrocodria it gets rid of free radicals and ... ang on me book.

Used/is used for killing parasites responsible for malaria.
As you say, it seems to oxygenated.
I still don't think it's natural tho.
