Good afternoon, my dear friends at @topfivefamily. Here I am again with my new entry for your TBT Contest: A Photo, A Story, One of Those Days. I hope you enjoy it; it's a piece about a fond memory of mine.

Muy buenas tardes, mis queridos amigos de @topfivefamily. Aquí estoy de nuevo ante ustedes con mi nueva entrada para su Concurso TBT una foto una historia un día de esos. Espero que sea de su agrado, es un escrito sobre un recuerdo lindo para mí.

The photo I'm sharing with you today is one I took with my daughters' father. He's a good man, but he often misbehaves and does things he shouldn't. When we took this picture together, he knew he had done wrong and came to make amends by bringing me a very special gift: some Eternal Roses.
La foto que les comparto hoy, me la tomé con el padre de mis niñas. Él es un buen hombre, pero suele portarse mal y hacer cosas que no debería. Cuando nos tomamos esta foto juntos, él sabía que había hecho mal y venía a reparar su error trayéndome un detalle muy especial: unas Rosas Eternas
I loved the gesture, and he knew it, but that didn't mean I was going to forgive him so easily and pretend nothing had happened. So I tested him for a while until I felt I could forgive him.
El detalle me encantó y él lo sabía, pero no por eso lo iba a perdonar tan fácilmente y hacer como si no hubiera pasado nada. Por lo que lo tuve a prueba un buen tiempo hasta que sentí que ya podía perdonarlo.
I often remember what he did to me, and sometimes I think I could do the same, because it's not the first time it's happened. But since I know him, I know how to handle it. Besides, he's still the father of my daughters, and I can't just cut him out of my life like that.
Muchas veces recuerdo lo que me hizo y algunas veces pienso que podría hacer lo mismo, porque no es la primera vez que ocurre, pero como ya lo conozco, sé cómo manejarlo. Además, sigue siendo el padre de mis hijas y no puedo sacarlo de mi vida, así como así.
They come first, and they also need to have contact with their dad. And the fact that he gave me this little gift with fabric roses, I really loved it, and it showed me how much he cares about me.
Ellas están primero y necesitan también tener contacto con su papá. Y el hecho de que me regalara este detalle con rosas hechas en tela, de verdad que me encantó y me demostró que le importo bastante con este detalle.
I still have them in my kitchen because that's where I spend most of my time, and every time I see them, I remember the emotion this man made me feel when he gave them to me.
Todavía las tengo en mi cocina porque es donde más me la paso, y cada vez que las veo me acuerdo de la emoción que me hizo sentir este hombre cuando me las dio.
I wanted to share this with you because it shows that it's up to us to either dwell on the negative aspects of others or focus on the positive and move forward with a positive attitude. That's what I thought when I decided to share this very personal Throwback Thursday post.
Quise contarles esto porque es la muestra de que está en nosotros enfrascarnos en ver lo malo de los demás o enfocarnos en lo bueno y seguir adelante con la mejor actitud. Eso fue lo que pensé cuando me decidí a compartirles este TBT tan personal para mí.
