Hola comunidad de #topfamily, esta es mi participación en el concurso de la semana, al cual nos convoca nuestro amigo @lanzjoseg en su iniciativa Observa Piensa Escribe.
El ojo que todo lo dice.
Hay imágenes que, aunque sencillas, logran transmitir más que un lienzo lleno de formas y colores. Esta que nos presenta hoy nuestro amigo es una de esas. En ella observo una pintura en la que no hay paisajes, rostros completos ni escenas complejas. Solo un ojo, cuidadosamente trazado por la mano de un pintor, acompañado por su firma. Y sin embargo, esa aparente sencillez encierra un mundo entero. A pesar de ser solo uno, tiene una mirada penetrante y escudriñadora que pareciera que por más que te esfuerces por esconder algo de él, nada se le escapa y todo lo ve.
Un ojo puede ser símbolo de muchas cosas: algunos dicen que es la ventana del alma, en la mirada también puede verse reflejado todo aquello que callamos, la mirada que observa sin juzgar o que, por el contrario, desnuda la verdad que intentamos ocultar. Este en particular me transmitió la sensación de estar frente a una mirada viva, casi humana, como si detrás de ese mural hubiera alguien vigilando en silencio.
El contraste entre luces y sombras, cada detalle de los diferentes trazos así como la profundidad de la pupila revela la intención de su autor de dejar algo más que un simple dibujo. La imagen nos recuerda que siempre hay alguien mirando, o que nosotros mismos debemos aprender a observar con mayor atención el mundo que nos rodea.
La firma del autor al pie de la obra también me da que pensar, ¿será que el autor quiso enviarnos un mensaje en ello? esto me llama profundamente la atención ya que el pintor no solo creo un ojo sino que se aseguró que quedara claro quién lo hizo y esto puede ser intencional. Pienso que debemos ir por la vida asegurando verlo todo y decir también todo lo que vemos y sin miedo a que todos sepan quién lo dijo y porque lo hizo. El pintor no solo creó un ojo, sino que se aseguró de que quedara claro quién fue el que le dio vida. Tal vez ese sea el mensaje final: ver, interpretar y al mismo tiempo dejar constancia de nuestra propia mirada en el mundo. Constancia de cada acto, de cada descubrimiento, cada sentimiento, cada lucha, cada victoria y también cada derrota, por qué no, de ellas se aprende.
Este ojo simple encierra en si todo un universo de interpretaciones, tan grande como las cosas que ha visto, y todo lo que dice y nos cuenta con su mirada.

The eye that says it all.
There are images that, although simple, manage to convey more than a canvas full of shapes and colors. This one our friend presents to us today is one of those. In it, I see a painting without landscapes, full faces, or complex scenes. Just an eye, carefully drawn by the hand of a painter, accompanied by his signature. And yet, that apparent simplicity contains an entire world. Despite being just one, it has a penetrating and scrutinizing gaze that seems as if no matter how hard you try to hide something from it, nothing escapes it and it sees everything.
An eye can be a symbol of many things: some say it's the window to the soul; the gaze can also reflect everything we keep quiet, the gaze that observes without judgment or, on the contrary, lays bare the truth we try to hide. This one in particular gave me the sensation of looking into a living, almost human gaze, as if someone were silently watching behind that mural.
The contrast between light and shadow, every detail of the different strokes, and the depth of the pupil reveal the artist's intention to leave something more than a simple drawing. The image reminds us that there is always someone watching, or that we ourselves must learn to observe the world around us more closely.
The artist's signature at the bottom of the work also makes me wonder: could the artist have wanted to send us a message? This catches my attention deeply, since the painter not only created an eye but also made sure it was clear who did it, and this may be intentional. I think we should go through life making sure we see everything and also say everything we see, without fear of everyone knowing who said it and why. The painter not only created an eye, but also made sure it was clear who gave it life. Perhaps that is the ultimate message: to see, to interpret, and at the same time to record our own perspective on the world. The record of every action, every discovery, every feeling, every struggle, every victory, and even every defeat—why not? We learn from them.
This simple eye contains within itself a whole universe of interpretations, as vast as the things it has seen, and everything it says and tells us with its gaze.
