Purchasing more HIVE / HBD

Back to the updates

As of my last update

Purchases from CRO investments which totalled:

423.26 HIVE purchased since January
$43.99 CAD value
Average purchase price $0.1039 per HIVE

From my Crypto.com VISA card

1172.01 HIVE
$118.58 CAD value
Average purchase price of $0.1011 per Hive
1595.27 Hive purchased since January

But what have I added recently?

Well,

There were actually a whole bunch of CRO rewards waiting for me when I checked this month from a bunch of weeks accumulating.

636.309 CRO to be exact of which
141.162 were from investment rewards (taxable)

Normally I would convert all those CRO to Swap.Hive and then to HIVE but this week? I'm still working on getting the GLD community up and running so the conversion was:

636.309 CRO --> 713.839 Swap.Hive --> 4210 GLD

and that allowed @merchantsguild to add 42.10 HBD to the bot which takes care of GLD redemptions at their par value of 100:1

Money brought into the Hive ecosystem?

That brings the amount from CRO investments up to :

  • $56.88

And from the CRO Visa up to :

  • $117.53 CAD

Less money sitting in the liquidity pool

Now last post I had mentioned bringing money into a liquidity pool for GLD redemptions. It seemed like a good idea at the time. A way to bring in LTC to get GLD and vice versa. However, once there was the hive-engine hack it made me rethink if I really wanted to keep all that swap.ltc there to support GLD when it could be hacked.

That's why I am moving away from the liquidity pool to a redemption for HIVE/HBD bot. In that way GLD is (hopefully) as strong as HBD and GLS as strong as HIVE. Theoretically at least. But if you are curious... Here is a page from the website documenting the vault and all the GLD stored and the GLD issued and available.

If you are curious about how things get exchanged please checkout the website :

https://hivegld.netlify.app/

and take a look around. It has been fully functional when I have checked it out. The documentation is weak and I still have to smooth out some rough edges but transfers work. As for the next batch of money I bring in? It will be used to buy EDSI tokens to help backup the GLS token. It is kind of a round about way to buy HIVE but I still think it is supporting the HIVE, EDSI, and GLD community so I'm happy with the pivot.

Of course after the hive-engine hack I'm also looking to diversify into the magi network and quite possibly create my own bitcoin wallet so I can keep some crypto off the net in cold storage.

Unfortunately that's a task I'm holding off on for a little while longer. Other things are taking priority

A few weeks without vacation

For right now I'm back at home.

Back into a regular routine

Back with my regular computers and laptops

Which means I can finally work on getting the GLD website up and running 100%. The first portion: Getting the banking taken care of is pretty much done. The second portion: Getting the rewards layer automated is up next. The third portion: Getting the gaming system working? Well, that's going to take some time.

But now that I'm back home? I can finally focus on getting it all done, and seeing how much value I can bring into HIVE and CRO from simply having a Crypto.com VISA card :)

Thanks for reading

And that's all until next months update :)
