Guess I should update what's happening with GLD
I'm back at home now and hopefully things will start getting back to normal now. In addition to that the HBD that was staked to back the GLD ocoin paid out its interest yesterday. More was staked and how there is
750 HBD and 75,000 GLD
backing the GLD coin. Now as I want to keep GLD backed at 100:1 another 11,000 GLD tokens were printed so now:
But how should the tokens and interest be distributed to help grow the community?
A giveaway
At this moment I'm not entirely sure what the best way to move forward is with rewards. There are a lot of people holding the GLD coin but I'm not sure if they are still active on HIVE or have fallen off. I'm not sure if they know they have value in their wallet or if it is just sitting there unused and unloved.
I don't want to distribute coins to those people who are not interested in either the coin or the community but I DO want to make sure that people who are active here get recognition.
How do I figure out who is active?

I distributed GAMER tokens to every member who holds GLD token. 1 GAMER token for every GLD held.

The tokens are virtually worthless BUT if you send them back to @gldragon then I'll return both the GAMER tokens and I'll also send an equivalent amount of SPORTS tokens.
Example: If I sent you 2000 GAMER tokens. Sent those tokens to @gldragon and I'll return the 2000 GAMER tokens AND 2000 SPORTS tokens.
Once dragons start battling, send your GAMER or SPORTS token to the dragon you want to win and they will increase its fighting power and entitle you to participation rewards depending how well the dragon does in its battles.
A call for ideas
I'm also playing with ideas and would love to get feedback.
The first idea is GLD rewards for participation.
I am thinking of using the HBD interest every month to buy GLD and distribute it to those who are active in the community. I'm thinking activity is as simple as supporting your favorite dragon. I'm leaning towards making a pool of available GLD every month ad distributing either equally or proportionate to GLD holdings among all active members. Inactive members get nothing.

I'm also thinking of making the @hiveabbyftp account a curation account which will pay out monthly amounts to those who delegate HP to the account However, I'm wondering, if I do this what payout method makes the most sense? Daily, weekly or monthly? Also what token to pay out? I'm thinking HIVE, HBD or GLD. Thughts anyone.
Upcoming Dragons
On one more note the @hiveabbyftp account has more account creation tokens and HP to power them up. Soon there will be new dragons minted and the first ones will be dragons designed to curate different curation trails and get whatever rewards they can from curation. The goal is to see how much better they can do than simply delegating the HP to a curator.
After that? I'll likely be bringing in a Liquidation Pool dragon into the mix as well as some investment dragons which will bring real world money into HIVE by using different types of investment. Any thoughts for what investments you would want to represent your investment dollars.

Haha. No GLD is the official token of the community. GAMER and SPORTS tokens are tokens which are used in other communities but they are (a) really cheap and (b) are listed on both tribaldex and hive-engine with solid buy and sell walls for anyone who wants to dump them.
The idea is that I'm handing them out for free so every member who wants to cheer on a Dragon once the battles begin can just transfer them to the dragon of their choice. After the battles run there will be a prize pool and the people who supported the winning dragon will get money from the prize pool sent to them along with their GAMER or SPORTS tokens back so they can cheer again next round.
I'm using tokens because it allows me to keep track of who sent what and I can use bots to automate things (I hope).
Side note: You are the biggest holder of the GLD token other than @tergan which is the treasury keeper. As the largest holder you are getting regular curation by @hiveabbyftp curation account but for rewards would you prefer getting HIVE or HBD?
I'll be giving out GLD as rewards to most members but only until they hit 2500 GLD which will be the cost of a dragon (once they get going). You are already over the 2500 cap I'm setting for members so what token should I give to those who hit the cap already? (HIVE or HBD)?

I sent some HIVE your way. Moving forward I will try to make a pool weekly and distribute it to the people who participated. I'll see how that works...and how much work it turns into :)

Will these gamer tokens and sport tokens be active as GLD tokens if I get you right? I believe your judgment is right. Whichever way, good luck and let's see how we can help
I copied this from your wallet. As you can see you now have 2200 GAMER tokens in your inventory. SPORTS and GAMER tokens are both trader on both the hive-engine and on tribaldex. However, my goal is for them to be used as simple tokens to show support. You send them to a dragon, the dragon gets a power up, then the dragon sends them back to you at the end of the season.
Or you can just sell them, they are tokens after all :)
SPORTS and GAMER are not my tokens, GLD is. GLD is the one I will actively support but I'd like to keep its print run very limited so it can maintain its value. When dragons become available for purchase the GLD token will be their soul. 2500 GLD to buy a dragon (give it life) and then its GLD soul will grow over time so the owner can either keep a dragon that gets more powerful....or cash it out.
In that light as a GLD holder who replied I've sent 4 GLD for this week to add to your total. In the future rewards should go up, once I figure out who is going to be active in the community.

Yup. Send back the gamer token and get sports tokens. Send sports tokens to your favorite dragon and they will help the dragon fight, be returned to you every week along with some GLD tokens for participation.

My handly little checker app showed me the incoming gamer tokens. You have had the gamer tokens returned, and had sports tokens added as well. Send the SPORTS tokens to your favorite dragon and you'll be in the running for rewards when they happen ;)
