Church choirs are mostly not professionals. Some of them do not even have passion for music, and that is quite understandable. Some are doing simply because they want to contribute to the service of God, and our encouragement can go a long way.

That's true, but in some churches singers are professional; the likes of Hillsong church, and the rest.
