On this Sunday morning we are going Y2K picks (2000’s Tunes). Since it’s mostly been an Eighties & Nineties Beastie Boys kinda week we figured we’d go with picking a tune each off two Beastie Boys albums. 2004’s To the 5 Boroughs & 2011’s Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. Two. They had an interesting jazz style instrumental record in between in 2007 but figure we’d stick to the original style.
Gene picks a track from 2011 featuring Nas & the song that opens the television show Succession, the 2004 Beastie Boys song An Open Letter To NYC. Ashlee wasn’t as familiar with these records and I’m realizing how she picked the first track off both 2004 & 2011 record.
Let’s Go!
You gotta fight for your right 🎸🤙🏻
Though I am open to any type of post/content for the HIVE blockchain, posts like this are not following the Q Inspired by Music community rules. Q is about stories, about writing in relation to music. Please read them: https://ecency.com/created/hive-192806 .. Plenty of other music corners on HIVE where these type of post fits (much) better.
