For some years now and with the increase in transmission speeds that made the now-famous streaming possible, several networks have grown that are dedicated to producing their own content for movies and series.
Like everyone and as a result of the confinement due to the Covid pandemic in recent months, I have also fallen into the networks of these networks and have seen several of their series and film productions.
One thing that I have noticed and of course I have paid the cost is to stay "on edge" or for those who do not know that word, I am left with doubt or uncertainty about something that has not been defined, in this case, a television series that has not had a conclusion.
When a production company and a film company plan to make a film, they accept the risk of failure, that is, they pay the author, the scriptwriter, the technicians, make-up artists, costume designers, actors, and all the large number of people who work for its realization. , then if the film fails, they bear the costs of that loss.
With series that is divided into several seasons, the same does not happen, simply because if it does not have the expected result, they cut it in the bud without thinking for a moment about the viewer who is also the one who pays for the TV service and about the same also that of some streaming channels. In other words, the spectator pays but does not have the right to receive the respect of the company on duty in return.
It has already happened to me, not with one but at least three series produced by those companies that have been cut without an ending after a couple of seasons. Honestly, it gives a bit of anger and frustration, it is like having wasted time seeing something that then has no end, good, regular, or bad, nothing ends as if it never existed. Imagine for a moment reading a book with the last pages missing.
Those companies make huge fortunes with their business, it would be good if they had some kind of monetary reserves to at least make a final chapter of those series that they have decided to end without having given a conclusion.
Perhaps this is nonsense that I mention having so many other major problems, however, showing respect for the public in the long run always gives better results.
Desde hace algunos años y de la mano del aumento en las velocidades de trasmisión que hicieron posible el ahora famoso streaming, crecieron varias cadenas que se dedican a producir sus propios contenidos de películas y series.
Como todos y por efecto del confinamiento por la pandemia de Covid en estos últimos meses también yo he caído en las redes de estas cadenas y he visto varias de sus producciones de series y películas.
Una cosa que he notado y por supuesto he pagado el costo es quedarme “en ascuas” o para quienes no conocen esa palabra quedarme con la duda o la incertidumbre por algo que no se ha definido, en este caso una serie de televisión que no ha tenido una conclusión.
Cuando una productora y una empresa cinematográfica planean la realización de una película, aceptan el riesgo del fracaso, es decir pagan al autor, al guionista, a los técnicos, maquilladores, vestuaristas, actores y a toda la gran cantidad de personas que trabajan para su realización, luego si la película fracasa asumen los costos de esa pérdida.
Con las series que se dividen en varias temporadas no ocurre lo mismo, simplemente porque si la misma no tiene el resultado esperado, la cortan de raíz sin pensar ni por un instante en el espectador que es además el que paga el servicio de TV y sobre el mismo también el de algunos canales de streaming. Es decir el espectador paga pero no tiene derecho a recibir a cambio el respeto de la compañía de turno.
Ya me ha pasado, no con una sino al menos con tres series producidas por esas compañías que han sido cortadas sin un final luego de un par de temporadas. Sinceramente da un poco de enojo y frustración, es como haber perdido el tiempo viendo algo que luego no tiene un desenlace final, bueno, regular o malo, nada se acaba como si nunca hubiera existido. Imaginen por un instante leer un libro al que le faltan las últimas páginas.
Esas compañías ganan enormes fortunas con su negocio, sería bueno que tuvieran algún tipo de reservas monetarias para al menos hacer un capítulo final de esas series que han decidido terminar sin haberles dado una conclusión.
Quizás sea una pavada esto que menciono habiendo tantos otros problemas mayores sin embargo demostrar respeto por el público a la larga siempre da mejores resultados.
