I would tell them to be more like hive.blog which had come out around the same time period as when the first voice.com came out
They promised/teased a steem 2.0 with Dan there even posting about having a snapshot of steem with all old accounts on new private eosio chain. Allgone

... raising $4B &having a promising ecosystem & devs who actually came from steem just like hive. Alot of @dan larimer investors & acolytes like myself saw the potential. But sadly all evaporated via B1

The "potential" all of us old steemit users saw was a NEW bigger version of steemit, with built on ethereum style smartcontracts and hundreds of billions on market cap and hundreds of millions of users.
This was back then before eos voice.com or hive.blog around 2018-2020.

But it was naive to think we could just create a new version of steemit but with actual marketing and advertising.
Steem blockchain and its front end steemit never got any ads. Of course they teased a steem blockchain mobile app with its own branding+beneficiary rewards(appics? )

Appics actually went on a wild ride from steem to eos to telos & actually still lives on a telos smart contract & appics apk does work & has an amazing little smartcontract with actual upvotes downvotes delegation etc all actions on appics account contract allon explore.telos.net

But appics is just one of these niche little steem based apps. Other derivatives are like ecency now on hive which used to be called something else. & there was partiko, steepshot &many others. It was exciting time. Telos also had newlife.ai &eos was supposed to have voice but...

Altho voice did launch, it never connected with eos blockchain which just withered & atrophied.
I suggested using eos.discussions.app which back then worked like hive with less features but on eos with anchorwallet or a brain key posting key style password for on chain eos posts

Eos B1s voice.com had a beta time period of experimental private front end, no blocjchain back end was released, and although I was like one of top 4 users, I got timed out for a month or so for posting hive but then whole site was shut down very shortly after I was timed out.

LOL I mentioned them on my past msg. I chat with the CEO, very cool guy but he was shunned away and was a waste. I always thought EOS should have support him financially to build up the app.

I didn't know appic still lives, I met the team on Steemfest in portugal, they looked very hip young crowd but it took forever to launch and I think another app, instasteem stole their thunder. Now we have LikeTu on Hive. Didn't know they migrated to Telos.

I actually joined an open source dapp similar to voice called discussion that ran on EOS and didn't need KYC.
