When frozen...

We have about a month of summer left here in Canada, and we are making preparations to welcome autumn. We will still see these waters, but tanned with multicoloured leaves, waiting for winter to mummify and dye them white.

And so we will enjoy frozen waters and skate on them -children and young people have the most fun in these white spots-.

But today, we enjoy the summer and harvest the fruits of nature's wisdom. Each season has its appeal and challenges to overcome, I have learned to love each season, I have learned to survive the extremes of weather.

Goodbye summer holidays, soon school activities begin.

Canada's education system is considered one of the best in the world, due to the government's high investment in the quality of education. Canadian public schools are well resourced, both in terms of material and human resources. And their learning methodology is very practical and innovative. My son Matthew, who is six years old, is starting in the formal system and will be in Grade 1. Children start school at 5–6 years old, and schooling is compulsory until the age of 16 (18 in some regions). The territories also provide free pre-school education, which 95% of pupils attend.
