May I ask you which place you are from. I am kind of surprised at the fact that so much detail of the festival is discussed. Even in India, some people fail to know the history and significance of the festival.

Oh, I'm from the Philippines. During highschool our teacher discussed it to us with a saying that "someday you'll use this information when you encounter someone that celebrating it" so different celebrations in different countries are being tackled during those days.
