RE: Reading Assignment Number 2: Religious Foundations of Theology

in DBuzz8 months ago

Based on my own understanding Religion is more than just adhering to rituals; it is about understanding and worshiping God. Recognizing the power of God and letting others witness His work through our deeds are essential components of true faith. Human nature is also inherently religious. Even if they are unsure of how or why, people have a strong desire to connect with God. This desire is a reflection of everyone's inner religious presence. Finally, religion is a creation of God, not of man. According to Bavinck, God revealed Himself to humanity, and rather than God changing, different beliefs arose as a result of human decision-making. To put it briefly, religion is the study of God, is a natural aspect of humanity, and is based on revelation from the Lord.
