Orson Welles gave a talk in 1960 about the Citizen Kane (1941) often deemed the greatest movie ever made. He talks about Hollywood censorship and how individual filmmakers were treated as sworn enemies of the system.

Interesting how censorship has gone back that far but we are only really talking about it now.

( At least on a mass scale )

When you hear of a "Director's Cut" of a movie think of it as reversing the censorship done as much as possible. Many of the greatest movies ever mad faced this censorship including Blade Runner, Apocalypse Now & Justice League

Yeah! I ca't wait for 2021 to see the proper version of the movie with even more extra footage. the original cut from Zack Snyder was 214 minutes. The upcoming HBO Max version is likely to be around 240 minutes.
