I hope this compatibility issue can be resolved somehow. Sometimes the codes can be too difficult to really understand.

How can I retrieve my hive keychain password? The device I used to login and create an account for dbuzz broke and cannot access it anymore.

The important password is not your "Hive Keychain Password" what's important is your Master Key and Owner Key.
If you have either of those two keys you should be able to import all your keys onto another device via @keychain.

Might need to fix the broken phone to retrieve it.
This is also why it's important to save more than one copy of keys.
