What do you think about insulin resistance? Here, dietitians say that to beat insulin resistance, it is necessary to eat little and often.

Insulin resistance is intimately related to obesity and lack of exercise, besides some other conditions. And, it leads to DM. Not eating full stomach, rather breakingdown 3 major meals into 6 small meals is one of the fundamental thing in DM management.

All are related.

So what if I only eat 3 meals a day?
For example, I wake up at 9 am. Breakfast at 13 o'clock and dinner at 19 o'clock. If I eat nothing but these two meals.
What method do you think this is?

When do you take lunch?

Skipping a meal is not a good practice.

I only eat breakfast and dinner. I usually eat legumes and vegetables. Rarely meat and chicken.
This is called intermittent fasting.
Last month, the doctor said that I started insulin resistance. Because of a sleeping pill.
He said that I can overcome insulin resistance with proper nutrition and exercise.
I also had some kind of high blood sugar before. By eating this way, I lowered my blood sugar.
What are your thoughts on this?

There is no harm doing this. Not at least for a short period. But, continue for a long time, it would be quite difficult. If you can tolerate, then go for it. However, a balanced diet should contain carbohydrates, fat, protein etc all, you know that.

Anyway, if a dietitian prescribe it to you and if get benefits, no problem at all.

But be aware. Many times for many people, rebound happens.

Frankly, I've been eating this way for about 3 years. My appetite was too high when I only used sleeping pills. But I no longer use it. !LUV
