The question is: What is near? I hope for you not too long from now.
Yesterday evening I was reading something our prime minister said last Friday. Small (indoor) concerts are allowed again as of this weekend after our lockdown of last three to four weeks. Only 30 in the room though, regardless how large the room is. I also was reading, our government will allow two larger indoor concert to happen, controlled with all kinda COVID regulations with two of the biggest organisations doing the productions (Mojo: concerts & ID&T: Dance). It is to test what happens when larger events are held again. Finally...FINALLY! Our government allows a few of such events to test... D*rn, they should've already allowed open air festivals last summer, to test what happens. Anyway, some positivity on the music event front in my tiny country the Netherlands. Hope yours will follow soon :)

Maybe everything is relative ... I've been going through those protocols already in the time frame that was between Spring and Autumn, i think there will be more experiments like those ... Interesting times we are living in, through which the entire world we knew in the Past will be shifted in a totally New one that won's look the same ... Maybe each story has its good and "interesting" parts ...

Especially on the entertain sector front, will likely see differences in the future. Must say: after some streaming music events, I'm done with that. We really need VR++ to get a better 'we are all part of this and njoy together' atmosphere we get in clubs, concert halls and festivals.
I understand your point of view @edje on the fact that somehow, this planet was built to basically function through the exchange of knowledge, of energy between its people, therefore, an event as a concert was always an action that involved so many factors from the ones mentioned above, but in the same time let's do not forget about this interesting experiment of social distancing, and, by the time when you will think that things are back as they used to be, the entire humanity will be so social distanced, especially as individual, where we'll might see people so distanced from their own souls ...
They will not recognize their Soul when they will look in the mirror ...
Sounds interesting, right?
Have a great day.
Regards
PS: Regarding the fact that you've mentioned that somehow the trend of online concerts has reached the maximum percentage, maybe you'll enjoy one of my concerts i've recorded during this pandemic era ...
It's a new project with a world music kind of patina ...

LOL 🤣🤣🤣 Love your sarcastic way of expressing the social distancing... And you are right.... If we are not careful we'll end up like robots, no emotions towards each other on a personal level. All emotions we have we'll waist by negativity we 'feel' towards those not having the same opinion on whatever topic. My advise to all those who build up all these negative emotions, who become black/white thinkers, to come with me to a great festival (multi day is almost a must) and let loose, let everything go, and enjoy the moment. Many go to yoga classes these days. Much better to connect with likeminded for days, much better meditation than everything what is actually called meditation. Ok ok, I never done 'real' meditation, so I can't really tell what is better hahahaha
Contemporary abstract point of view :)
