I just hope the Hive platform gets my most requested features - private messaging and the ability to delete posts. That way, I can tell them that Hive has all the features of Facebook plus the ability to earn minus its censorship and privacy intrusions.
Ability to delete posts already exists as edit and set everything to empty string although it can still be found in previous versions of the post. It can be also receive a "deleted" flag from the author so it is not shown in future default queries(unless the query contains a "show deleted" flag).
As for "actual" deletion(erase the content from the database without a trace), it is impossible in a Blockchain as it violate the whole concept of blockchain storage. All blocks generated after the one that stores the post depend on the post being there to be authenticated. This is why Cryptocurrency exists as it is all based in their transaction history stored in it's blockchain.
#privacy and #freespeech are two sides of the same coin. You cannot take one without indirectly taking away the other.
