Pretty much anything with mint! I like the Peppermint Drumsticks that are only sold during the Christmas holiday season. Well, I like two out of the three flavors in the package. They don't have the best ice cream, but if I'm going to buy an ice cream snack, that's it. I don't like any of the other Drumsticks. So, I don't get them often.
But I love peppermint ice cream or mint chocolate chip.
When my husband and I were visiting in the Houston area, we heard about a great ice cream shop we decided to check out. I was so disappointed that there was NO mint anything there. You could sample anything before getting it, but for me, it wasn't worth getting any ice cream if it wasn't mint. So, I left without the sugar rush I didn't need anyway!
My husband got a single scoop of something (I don't even remember what it was), and he was underwhelmed. I guess it was good I decided to skip it.
I haven't found much in the way of good ice cream (I prefer frozen custard) in Texas. I guess you get spoiled in Wisconsin, where I'm originally from, with all the frozen custard all over the place.
I don't think I've ever had Peppermint Drumsticks. I like the regular ones just fine. I went through chocolate mint ice cream phase when I was younger. Not sure why I stopped. Your post makes me want to go grab a pint just to refresh my memory.
I'm picky about my mint ice cream, too. Some tastes like medicine (not a good mint flavor at all), so I won't eat that. Whenever I have a cough with a cold, my husband says, "I can run out and get you some of that mint cough medicine at Braum's for you." No thank you.
LOL. Ya gotta !LUV his efforts to make you feel better even if it isn't exactly what you were hoping for.
