I had to google DM to know what it is. My husband was told he was borderline diabetic so he lost a lot of weight and is no longer borderline.

Lucky him! He was diagnosed (as pre-diabetes) early! Full-blown diabetes doesn't revert (usually). He was on the way to Type 2 DM!
This poor girl's case is different!
