Yes Hive is censorship free. To me community curation, moderation & governance is more valuable. What that tells me is that when I post, not only am I talking to like minded individuals, but everyone on Hive get to assign value to my content, not just a single corporate entity.

Curation, moderation, and governance in blockchain technology have both advantages and disadvantages. While electing witnesses can reward hard work, it can also lead to autovotes and nepotism within a dPoS social class system. Moderation may also turn into censorship, with unfairly muted posts becoming a concern. Although proof of brain is set to prevail, hive will eventually purge narcissistic behavior from its blockchain. Interestingly, some have been censored for opposing the narrative despite scientific evidence on conventional social media. It is important to question the contradiction between editable data streams, immutability, and muting in blockchain technology.
