We had our electricity restored. The house is alive again. Sleeping in a hot, humid bedroom is rough. We can deal with no lights and only phone internet. Food was challenging with electric stove. We need a gas backup.

It’s relatively recent that we have the means to afford one. Mrs Mata suggested we get one. I’m considering it.
Is there a breeze? Mosquitoes? With no power, there's no refrigeration for food to cook anyways.

We did fire up the barbecue and cook some of our refrigerated food on the grill before it spoiled. We also have a store of non-perishable food we could heat up with Sterno cans. I probably won't get a gas stove. I may just get a big propane griddle.
