As a new captain, I'm glad I got a few booster packs before they closed out on Hive. It'll be good to begin learn exactly what those cards do as I dive into the world of #Exode. Wish me luck. Cheers!

cool, what origin are you playing?

I bought the starter three pack so I have options. Right now I'm looking at my booster cards to see what personnel, ships, assets, etc I have the most of before making a decision. Off the top, I think either the science or military missions seem the most interesting. Building a colony seems too close to the challenges we face in the real world so is less appealing as a starting mission.
What about you? Have you chosen yours?
I selected the science origin which I heard has the most difficult start and landing scenario. I still don't get some game mechanics. I saw a video where a player was able to equip his crew with weapons but somehow, weapons do not appear when I click a crew/unit.
I just took a look at my cards to see what I had the most of in the hopes it'll give me a better idea of which direction I should begin with. Military and Science are pretty even. There are almost double for the Colony. Which makes sense given that the purpose of the game is to colonize.
I also have not gotten into game mechanics yet. It's all a learning process and of course having the time to dive in fully.
