Yeah, they have been threatening this for a month or so now. It is funny because in the same sentence they will talk about what they are planning for their own country-wide cryptocurrency. Pretty funny how they try to eliminate the competition and then be the savior with their own product.

No doubt, this has been stirring around the rumor mill for awhile now. An Indian friend on Twitter said that the government is concerned and trying to figure out how to proceed but will not be taking any immediate action.
