Yep, sounds just like something the CCP would have implemented.

If its free, you are the thing being sold.
(and if it isn't free, you can't be sure)

That is exactly my advocacy right now - that everyone must take their privacy very seriously.

If people don't care what happens to themselves because they freely share all their data, they should still be aware that other people might also lose their privacy because of them.

More proof that all of these "social media" apps are nothing but government tracking and cataloging pieces of software. No coincidence that the day before Fakebook launched, the CIA-MIT project that was in exact essence Fakebook albeit a different name was shut down without notice, laying off everyone in the lab and Zuckerborg started it up the following day under the new name.

I refuse to get into any of them. I dislike Twitter as well but I only use it because of the incentive on here to use it.

At least in USA there is a good amount of freedom of speech available where people can talk about these and educate others. In China, without WeChat and Sesame Credit a person can barely function within the society.

The worst part is that most western countries are increasingly embracing socialist policies while China is moving fast ahead with their brand of authoritarian capitalism.

Yeah for sure. I've been keeping up with some of the latest atrocities that are coming out of there and the destroying of freedoms. I'm almost positive that China is an experiment for these globalists with what they can get away with and push people towards. They then slowly apply that over to Europe then finally America. In my opinion, it goes along the lines of least armed with defensive weapons to most. Europe is largely devoid of their citizens being able to defend themselves while America has the most left in the world.

Brexit gives slightly more hope that not everyone is willing to bow down to EU. At the end, even the governments of the world have to face the market realities and eventually fail. All this madness will eventually end crashing down. It won't be a pretty sight.
