get one on aliexpress for like $18 a heltecv3 get the right frequency for ur region tho. north america is the 900
every hive user should fucking have one. if we all did have one, and kept them on our roof, with a nice antenae, each hive user can broadcast 1 to 10 miles or more, and mesh up in a big chain link of users able to now do private and public text messages, group chats, and 0.5kpbs super slow but real data transfers, but limited for emergencies because everyone ha sto share the same bandwitdh in one area lol its pretty magical. liek something a 90s kid would dream about and now we have it
if every hive user had a meshtastic node and theer were enough fo us spread out, and just a few peopel with short wave rtadios or starlink, (or short wave packet radio for bouncing signals off the damn moon) we could fucking yeah have our OWN INTERNET FOREVER
This looks like a really promising project though I wonder how this works in areas where population is less dense though 10 miles range is really nice especially if users act as repeaters.
