Hello all dear friends Hivers and welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing my watercolor painting depicting an ancient view of a large city archway. The dominant building element is stone, both as paving and on the facade of the building.

The large archway surrounded by gray stone blocks often represents the only access from the north to small villages in Italy, to the south we almost always find its twin that allows entry into the center.

I used violet to shade the architecture and light blue for some window panes.

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido il mio dipinto ad acquarello che raffigura un antica veduta di un grande arco di accesso alla città. L'elemento costruttivo dominante è la pietra, sia come pavimentazione che sulla facciata dell'edificio. Il grande arco contornato da blocchi di pietra grigia rappresenta spesso l'unico accesso da nord ai piccoli borghi in Italia, a sud troviamo quasi sempre un suo gemello che permette l'ingresso nel centro.
Ho usato il violetto per ombreggiare le architetture e il celeste per alcuni vetri alle finestre.
Mi auguro che vi piaccia, vi mando un abbraccio antico come il respiro.
