Sailing ship
Hi all guys and welcome back to my blog. Today I share a watercolor painting that has a sailing ship in the wind as its subject. My goal was to represent the power of the sailing ship with little sail because it sails sideways. I tried to accentuate the strength and power of the boat with a shot from below leaving more space for the bow that cuts through the waves of the sea.
The sailing ship is a wooden model with three masts, a pipe dream for me, it has the smallest flakes in the wind but it is very performing on the water. I painted the clear sky with orange and violet to enhance the height of the three trees, which rise in perspective.
An apparently simple painting and instead I tried to build it carefully in the composition.

Veliero
Ciao a tutti ragazzi e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un dipinto ad acquarello che ha come soggetto un veliero al vento. Il mio obiettivo è stato quello di rappresentare la potenza del veliero con poca vela perchè naviga di traverso. Ho cercato di accentuare con una inquadratura dal basso la forza e la potenza dell'imbarcazione
lasciando più spazio alla prua che fende le onde del mare. Il veliero è un modello in legno a tre alberi, un sogno irrealizzabile per me, ha i fiocchi più piccoli al vento ma è molto performante sull'acqua.
Ho dipinto il cielo chiaro con arancione e violetto per esaltare l'altezza dei tre alberi, che si elevano in prospettiva. Un dipinto in apparenza semplice e invece ho cercato di costruirlo con attenzione nella composizione.
