Showcase - Places of silence - paintings and photographs
Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I navigate in territories that are very familiar to me and to which I have dedicated years of my painting activity: the Lighthouses.
I love lighthouses, in addition to purely aesthetic reasons, the lighthouse retains a series of psychological reasons as a symbol. With its silent presence, the lighthouse undoubtedly represents a safety in the night, it illuminates the path and signals the dangers, a sort of spiritual light that radiates the darkness of the unexplored.
An important fact is represented by its cylindrical shape, a circle inscribed in a very high vertical element, this shape instills a sense of protection and safety unique in the world of the sea.
The first lighthouse was built in the 3rd century BC. on a small Egyptian island called Phàros, near Alexandria in Egypt. It was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and remained in operation until
XIV century, and was destroyed by two violent earthquakes.

Let's move on to see my pictorial works of which I keep very strong the memory and the emotions that involved me during the pictorial realization.
The road to heaven - watercolor on paper (sold)
This watercolor is my favorite and represents a place full of light to reach. An inversion of the role of the lighthouse, from the dark in the foreground and from the big waves, we travel the road that leads us to the light.
Geometries on the sea - watercolor on paper
This watercolor work is the synthesis of the perfect geometry of a lighthouse, a cylinder, with its spiral decoration that runs along its entire length. It stands majestically and slender towards a vibrant sky full of movement.
Higher forces - oil on canvas (sold)
In this oil on canvas work the lighthouse is the majestic force that resists the violence of the waves. The rough sea does not scratch the solid and safe presence of the lighthouse that emerges from the water like a man's miracle.

Vetrina - Luoghi del silenzio - dipinti e fotografie
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi navigo in territori che mi sono molto familiari e ai quali ho dedicato anni della mia attività pittorica: i Fari. Adoro i fari, oltre a motivi puramente estetici, il faro conserva come simbolo una serie di motivi psicologici.
Con la sua presenza silenziosa il faro, rappresenta senza dubbio una sicurezza nella notte, esso illumina il percorso e segnala i pericoli, una sorta di luce spirituale che irradia il buio dell'inesplorato.
Un dato importante è rappresentato dalla sua forma cilindrica, un cerchio iscritto in un elemento verticale molto alto, questa forma infonde un senso di protezione e sicurezza unico nel mondo del mare.
Il primo faro fu costruito nel III° secolo a.C. su una piccola isola egiziana chiamata Phàros, vicino ad Alessandria d'Egitto. Fu una delle sette meraviglie del mondo antico e rimase in funzione fino al XIV secolo, e venne distrutto da due violenti terremoti.
Passiamo a vedere i miei lavori pittorici di cui conservo molto forte il ricordo e le emozioni che mi hanno coinvolto durante la realizzazione pittorica.
Questo acquarello è il mio preferito e rappresenta un luogo ricco di luce da raggiungere. Una inversione del ruolo del faro, dal buio in primo piano e dalle grandi onde, percorriamo la strada che ci porta alla luce.
Questo lavoro ad acquarello è la sintesi della geometria perfetta di un faro, un cilindro, con la sua decorazione a spirale che lo percorre in tutta la sua lunghezza. Si staglia maestoso e slanciato verso un cielo vibrante carico di movimento.
In questo lavoro ad olio su tela il faro è la forza maestosa che resiste alla violenza del moto ondoso. Il mare agitato non scalfisce la presenza solida e sicura del faro che emerge dalle acque come un miracolo dell'uomo.
