I love the strict rules you’ve set for this alphabetical journey through the states. Transitioning from the raw Mississippi blues of 1936 to the psychedelic energy of the Yardbirds, and then finishing with a show tune, is exactly why this series works so well.
I do love that old school blues. Robert Johnson certainly is iconic. But there's a lot of old delta blues I really got into as a teenager (my taste was eclectic as I also listened to thrash, punk, Americana, alternative, folk) that I'll still put on now.
Your road trip must have been epic. I do wish we could go on a road trip now as planned. 🤕
What a creative and totally awesome TTT! All three songs were great today, I love the Yardbirds, and the sound of that song really did have hints at the future. What an amazing band! As for the The Music Man, what a classic movie. Robert Preston was at this finest, I saw that movie several times as a kid with the family, it was a lot of fun. Musicals can be hard to get into for sure, but this is one of the better ones.
Great job today to fill in Iowa, not an easy state. That much is certain!
Thanks I appreciate that! I'm actually a sucker for musicals. I'd stop on them every time if I didn't think my wife was going to totally make fun of me.
That's quite a collection. Love Psycho Daisies!
I'm glad you enjoyed!

What's not to love about a road trip! And for the record, I didn't know any of these songs, haha.
Lovely landscapes!

This makes me want to do a proper road trip! I really hope to make that happen when the weather breaks.
We are making one ourselves at the end of March. I can't wait!

I have another trip planned in a month or so, but it won't be quite as epic as this one. I like all kinds of music as well.
First roadtrip I did in the States was Florida to Colorado, totally different to your one.
Love the Yardbirds so they take the prize this week.
Yes, that's a heck of a drive!
Yeah it was a case of ... are we there yet, are we there yet lol
