A tad bit off the topic of music, but seeing the photo of the ice cream and when old is new...I've noticed in many shows lately...as well as in a recent airbnb, the popularity now of Smeg retro appliances! Have you seen these? Check them out here: https://www.smeg.com/us/refrigerators/retro-style
I haven't seen it recently, but I know what you are talking about. It's funny how everything is kind of cyclical like that. Fashion most specifically, but everything seems to come back around eventually! Too bad $.73/gallon gas couldn't make a come back!
I only know Dion for The Wanderer and Runaround Sue, but after this writeup, I'm definitely going to go check out more of his catalog. It's always awesome when you randomly discover something by an artist you already know and are just consumed by it.
Yeah, I was shocked too. I couldn't believe it was the same guy and he is still doing stuff today. He has some more recent stuff where he was working with John Bonamassa or however you spell his name. Pretty impressive.
I hadn't heard his music in years now, he's a talented man. The prolific singers are those who reinvent themselves to stay relevant and he sure has done it. Great selections today, I had almost forgotten about Dion!
It's a great show. I think the first season was the best, but the other ones are good. It's loud and sometimes annoying, but still really good tv. I was really shocked at how amazing Dion is. I'm finding new stuff from him every day now!
Have you tried the shazam app? There was outcry that someone at the Oasis gig was using it, while real fans of whoever was being played couldn't get in.
